📖 Mad 😡, sad 😢, glad 😁, and afraid 😱 - this is how we generally characterize everyday emotions 😯. This is limited and skewed towards "negative" 😞 emotions. And there has to be more positive emotions out there, right? 🌟 What would it be like to embody emotions like Heroism 😎, Wonder 🤩, Peace ☮️, or Compassion 🤗? Learn the ancient Indian system of Navarasas (Nava - 9️⃣; rasas - emotional states) and bring a whole new array of characters 🎭 to life on stage. ✨ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 💡 Recommended Experience Level: Intermediate Suited for improvisers with some experience who wish to deepen their understanding and expand their skill set. These workshops explore more intricate concepts and techniques. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🎨 About the Teacher Bala is a south Indian artist and improviser based out of Bangalore, India. She started learning and performing impro in the United States when she was an engineering grad student. She co-founded India's first and only all-women impro group - The Adamant Eves. She has performed and taught across the US, Europe and SouthEast Asia.
